Redeeming an Access Code on MedOne

MedOne access codes are issued by Thieme for several reasons:

Users transferring access from another Thieme site (such as Media Center) to MedOne.
Users who purchase a Thieme book with a MedOne eBook code inside.
Users provided an access code from a Thieme society Partner.

This page details the steps users must complete to redeem an access Code.

Step 1 - Select "Enter Access Code"

We recommend users redeeming access codes use a browser on a computer, not a mobile device. When the MedOne site’s homepage is loaded, the right-hand side of the page will have links labelled "Login" and "Enter access Code"

If you are already logged in, "Login" will instead display your username. "Enter access Code" is always the option below this.

Step 2 – Enter your Access Code

The next screen allows you to input one access code. You may type into the field or cut and paste the code. Do not include any extra spaces before or after the code. Enter your code and select "Next"

Step 3 - Enter an email address

The Registration page appears next, and you must enter an e-mail address in the first field shown. Note:

If that e-mail address is one already used for a MedOne account, you may type only into this field and hit "next" (or enter). You will receive this prompt:

If the system does not recognize the e-mail address, nothing will happen, and you should then complete the rest of the form, setting a username (this may be an email address), password, and agreeing to MedOne’s terms and conditions.

Step 4 - Confirm User Data

Users with an existing account will see some or all of the fields on the "User Data" page filled in. New users must review or enter mandatory information on this page:

First Name
Last Name
Username
E-Mail
Telephone

Once you have completed all fields, you should select the option "Save" at the bottom of the form.

Step 5 - Email verification notice

After you have saved your user information, a screen will appear letting you know that you have successfully registered your code. Thieme will now email you a verification link, and a confirmation of this will appear on screen.

You should open this email account for the next step.

Step 6 - Email verification

An email should appear in your inbox (please check any "spam" or "junk" folders if necessary). The email will be titled MedOne: Access Code Registration. It will be sent from no-reply@thieme.de.
Within the email a link will be provided. Clicking on this link completes the verification.

Once you have selected the website, you may login. If your access is for an EBook, please select the "eBooks" option on the main page:

EBooks you now have access to will have their covers displayed and are ready to read.
